Zach Anner interview with Oprah

Even though he just asked Oprah 2 questions at the end of the show, but being what he is, it is actully a very good job from him. Salute!!

Below is some bio of Zach Anner

source: Wikipedia

Zach Anner (born November 17, 1984 in Buffalo, New York) is an Austin, Texas-based sit-down comedian who gained world-wide attention with the submission of a video to Oprah's "Search for the Next TV Star" competition. Currently he is a contestant on Oprah's Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star on the new OWN network which airs Fridays at 9/8c.

Zach Anner is originally from Kenmore, New York. He graduated from Kenmore West Senior High School. He was also born with cerebral palsy. After a stint working for Disney World as a park security specialist at Epcot, Anner started his studies at the University of Texas, Austin, in 2005. While attending school, he obtained celebrity interviews through a sketch comedy program on the university's local access channel. In 2008, he and fellow production mates started a comedy troupe called Lark the Beard, which produced a Streamy nominated web-series entitled The Wingmen. Anner is currently involved in writing shows and feature movies with Lark the Beard. Zach has been quoted to say "I used to release a lot of videos for the internet."

Oprah contest

On June 2, 2010, Zach Anner uploaded a video submission to a contest sponsored by Oprah Winfrey and Harpo Productions. Oprah's "Search for the Next TV Star" contest is a chance for one "top five" finalist to compete on a reality show located in Los Angeles, California. The winner of the reality program receives a show on the OWN network. The "top five" online finalists are determined by the number of votes their video receives. On the morning of Friday, June 11, 2010, Anner had just over 3,000 votes for his video submission, while the leader of the competition possessed over 1,500,000 votes. By the night of Saturday, June 12, celebrity endorsements and support began to appear for Anner. John Mayer, an early supporter of Anner's, posted words of encouragement for Zach on his blog. According to The Daily Texan, Anner, who took a weekend trip to Dallas, Texas, was unaware of the overnight success of his video submission. With video cameras, friends of Anner filmed his first reaction to the then over 2,000,000 votes, as well as the blog and "To Zach Anner" video by John Mayer. Anner exclaimed, "How....What the...What the Balls is this?" at the sight of his new popularity. As a response, Anner posted the subsequent "Thank You, Internet" and "I want to come and see you!" videos.

Celebrity and media support

As of June 15, 2010, Anner has received support from Perez Hilton, John Mayer, Harry Knowles, David Hasselhoff, Daniel Tosh, and others on the Internet. He has also received coverage in New York Magazine, Time, Entertainment Weekly, ABC News, Fox News (Red Eye), Tubefilter.tv, and G4TV.

Alleged rigging

According to internet speculation, the contest was rigged against Anner, as a contestant named Dr. Phyllis received over 300,000 votes in 20 minutes and surpassed Anner. Many voters noticed that after they placed a vote for Anner, the total number of his votes would actually decrease, further adding to the belief that the system was rigged. Anner expressed skepticism about the alleged rigging, stating, "I sincerely doubt that Oprah would do anything like that. She’s probably too busy building schools and helping children to even notice someone like me." The odd variations in the vote results could be due to an effort to combat mass-voting, though no official comment has been made.

Rumors: IPhone 5 nano, expected to released in mid of 2011 by Steve Jobs

iPhone 5 nano??
“Among products Steve Jobs is continuing to work on are the next version of the iPad tablet computer, expected out in the next couple of months, and a new iPhone, expected to be released this summer,” – Wall Street Journal.

On the other hand, according to Bloomberg’s anonymous sources, the phone will be about 1/3 smaller than the iPhone4. It components still reuse the components from the iPhone4 to help keep it cheap -- about $200 without a contract. More interestingly, one of the Bloomberg sources has seen an iPhone Nano prototype, and claim that Apple has been planning to launch it in the middle of this year -- which would put it out right around the same time as the still-unannounced iPhone5. Meaning, this tiny little device might be iPhone5 nano.

These reports are still unconfirmed, Apple representatives, including Steve Jobs, declined both Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal requests for comment.

Nokia's Windows Phone 7 concept revealed!

Nokia Windows Phone 7
Revealed by engadget.com, the above seems to be like the first phone of Nokia + Microsoft partnership early fruit. The shape is similar to its recent N8 and C7 Symbian devices. There are only 3 buttons at the bottom (from Front). That said, the N8 and E7 are highly unlikely to receive any OS upgrade to Windows Phone 7. The best part about this whole discovery, however, might be that it confirms Steve Ballmer's assertion that the engineers of both companies have "spent a lot of time on this already." So, anyone got anything to say about this MICROKIA phone??

Nokia + Microsoft = ??

Stephen Elop & Steve Balmer

Nokia ( non-Finland ) CEO, a.k.a. Ex-Microsoft Head of Business Division, Stephen Elop, has announced strategic partnership of Nokia with Microsoft. After Stephen Elop joined Nokia as CEO at September 2010, many have predict that these 2 company will start working together, and now it happended, Windows OS will become the primary OS for Nokia higher-end mobile devices.
With the news announced, will it drastically changed the mobile market share portion? IMO, unless Nokia or Microsoft come out with new innovation, improvements on their products (mobile OS) for the upcoming years, else it will hardly affect the market share of uprising Android (Google), & strong & still rising IOS (Apple)
